Starry starry night!

Last Friday night we photographed events for Southern Foodways Alliance's annual gathering "Taste of the South" at Blackberry Farm.  We captured images at an outdoor pavilion called Yallerhammer where Blackberry Farm hosted Chef's Night Out.  It was an amazing gathering of some of the best chefs, farmers, artisans and foodies in the South.  Though the night was exceptionally clear and especially cold -- the conditions were perfect for a starry pic showcasing the full moon and the warm glow of Yallerhammer!  We were fully outfitted in our snow boots, down coats (yes more than one), and other WARM clothes.  It was fun!  

Grand Grenache at Blackberry Farm

On an oddly warm evening in December, beall + thomas photographed a great event at Blackberry Farm. Grand Grenache brought in guests from around the country to raise money for the James Beard Foundation. This event raised more than 15,000 dollars for the foundation in the silent auction and filled everyone’s hearts and stomachs at the same time! The wines were provided by Eric Solomon...outstanding delicious wines and his fabulous producers – Domaine de la Janasse
Domaine de Marcoux and Philippe Cambie. Chef Jean – Robert de Cavel and Pigall’s in Cincinatti provided the fare. It was such a fun event and congratulations to the team at Blackberry on their hard work in benefiting such a great cause.

Blackberry Farm Food Shoot

We are nearing the end of our production for the much-anticipated Blackberry Farm cookbook.  It will include some delicious recipes, great stories and BEAUTIFUL images. Many thanks to the dream team for making it so easy to take beautiful pictures!  The folks from NYC and the folks at Blackberry Farm are always such fun to work with, we are a little sad when the shoot ends!  We can’t wait to see the finished product and we will keep everyone posted on the progress.  The book is slated to hit stands next November -- a perfect gift!
